Επισκεφτήκαμε χτες το απόγευμα με τέσσερις εφήβους που μένουν στη δομή Νεφέλη 1 την έκθεση “Let the children talk”. Ένα από τα αγόρια με καταγωγή από τη Σομαλία δυσκολεύτηκε ιδιαίτερα και άρχισε να κλαίει. Έβγαινε κάθε τόσο έξω και μετά ερχόταν ξανά. Τον πλησίασε μεταξύ άλλων και ο Μάριος, τον αγκάλιασε με πολλή αγάπη και μιλήσανε λιγάκι. Κάποια στιγμή προτείναμε στα παιδιά να γράψουν και εκείνα κάτι στον πίνακα όπου βρίσκονται όλα τα γραπτά των μαθητών που είχαν επισκεφτεί κυρίως την προηγούμενη έκθεση. Το συγκεκριμένο παιδί έγραψε: “Life is not easy”. Έπειτα βγήκε ξανά έξω από την έκθεση, έψαξε να βρει λουλούδια στον περίγυρο χώρο, μάζεψε δύο παπαρούνες και τις τοποθέτησε κάτω από το γραπτό του. Ήταν μία πάρα πολύ δυνατή στιγμή για όλους εμάς. Αγκαλιαστήκαμε, δακρύσαμε και κλάψαμε. Δύο παπαρούνες τοποθετημένες από έναν νεαρό ασυνόδευτο Σομαλό πρόσφυγα κάτω από τη φωτογραφία του Μάριου με το σύνθημα “Open the borders, we are not terrors” να αγκαλιάζουν την πρόταση “Life is not easy” !!!

Yesterday afternoon we visited the exhibition “Let the children talk” with four teenagers who live in the shelter Nefeli 1. One of the boys of Somali origin started to cry. It was a very, very powerful moment for all of us. We hugged, had tears in our eyes and we cried.
